It is 0002... When I was a IIgs icon junkie, I noticed the auxiliary type
of the System 5.0x folder was set to this value (there is a "special"
folder icon in finder.icons) and thought it could help fix the magic
routing bug of System 6.0x. I don't think there was any written info on
this subject.

Also you should not mount another system disk on the desktop and then drag
any file into its system folder if its auxtype is set to 0002... The file
would be moved/copied to the system folder of the boot volume!

PS: if anyone is interested into my icons collection, you can fetch it on
Caltech Apple II archive (mg.icons.shk =;^)
