Funny... I do not have a problem on my Zip disk with the Apple
High Speed SCSI card, and System 6.01 ADU on a ROM 3 GS.
But, I am aware that I had the same problem with yours due to the
Apple HS SCSI card not supplying termination power. Someone done a fix on
my Apple HS SCSI card to supply termination power and it works fine since.
I have done 4 ProDOS partitions before, as well as 1 ProDOS and 1 HFS.
Don't ask me how it was done, I can't remember, I din't do it, I
gave it to a technician who knows Apple stuff and he soldered a couple of
wires, a diode from an IC to one of the pins on the SCSI. And that was
done while I was on vacation 2,000km AWAY !!!!
