Hi Karl - The batteries I purchased from BatteryStore.com are VAR
55615703012 NiMH 3.6V 150 mAh with 4 pins.  Seem to work just fine on
my TimeMaster II H.O. card.

I've not found any info indicating that NiMH will not work correctly -
where have you found that information?
