Now, wait a second, this isn't remotely true.

The 64 and Vic-20 were pretty different, and while you could recode a VIC
BASIC program to run on the 64, anything else would be a serious bit of
coding to port.

As to taking 64 software to the Amiga--ok, there was a 64 emulator soon
after the Amiga came out but it was awful.  Not until the last few years
or so has there been a really compatible and usable 64 emulator out there 
for the Amiga.
