I don't know whether they did or not, but it wouldn't really matter if they
did, since it doesn't take much to engineer something like that when all
you have to do is tip off the right people and let them independently
verify the truth.  According to the ISP's rules, a violation of the
contract had occurred.  That was the fault of the person who owned the
account.  All that had to be done by whoever did it was to point that out
to the SysAdmins...  and that's a duty of any good netizen.  I would only
expect the same from anyone who knew of something illicit being done from
the domain I administer.
