Appleworks DB transfer

Hello all!I have been using an Apple IIc for about ten years and have now
"graduated" to a Mac Performa.	My dilemna is that I have a large
database on my expanded Appleworks program that I do not want to reenter
into my new Mac.  Can I transfer the files?  If so how?  I have very
limited techinical knowledge, so please be gentle. Thanks a bunch for any
