Jeremy, your friend's Apple IIgs keyboard is experiencing the
symptoms of "sticky keys." If this is the problem, you'll need
to disassemble it and clean everything (lubricate the keyswitches
and use soap and water on the keycaps and case).

To find out if this is really the problem, take your Macintosh
ADB keyboard and bring it over to your friend's IIgs. Swap your
keyboard for his and see if the Mac keyboard does not exhibit
the sticky keys symptoms. If your keyboard works, then your
friend's is dirty and needs cleaning.

Like most graphics word processors, AppleWorks GS 1.1 adjust
margins by moving little tabs on the ruler. As I understand
it, you can also fool around with settings in the "Page Setup"
of the File menu to communicate with the printer.

Yes, the Harmonie printer drivers from Vitesse support this.
The info is on Nate's FAQ site.

Try http://ground.isca.uiowa.edu/ and look for an install for
the program. Note that downloading on your Mac and bringing
it over to the IIgs works wonderfully. Just make sure that
the IIgs has System 6.0.1 and the HFS FST installed and that
you download from Netscape onto a regular Macintosh _800K_
disk (unless the IIgs has a high density drive, it'll need to
be 800K to be IIgs readable). The Mac-to-Apple2 problems
listed in the FAQ only refer to 8-bit Apple IIs, since the IIgs
handles resource forks just fine.
