I thought the same several years ago, but apparently ADB (Apple
Desktop Bus protocol) was developed for the Macintosh, yet introduced
on the Apple IIgs first, in September 1986. It does get credit for
being the _first_ computer in the world to offer ADB ports, as the
Macintosh SE and Macintosh II did not arrive until March 1987 (10
years ago to this month, come to think of it).
