This is probably one of your major problems. SCSI IDs 0 and 7 tend
to have special meaning, and it's best to avoid them for external
devices. Set it to a unique ID from 1-6 (uniqueness is not a problem
with only one external device), and try again.
Also, use the RamFast's builtin config program (hold down 0 on
numeric keypad on powerup) and do the SCSI Utils menu item to have
the Ramfast report on what it can see-- if it can't see the drive,
it obviously won't begin to try and boot from it.

A copy of a 'rewritten' manual was posted to comp.binaries.apple2
this week. Look for it there. I've yet to verify that it is that,
but if it is, and the author approves, a copy will go on my WWW
pages.
