shrinkit brings with it the overhead of compressed data, which is not what
is optimal when dealing with disk _images_... and though the hardcore
apple 2 users have complained that they will get shafted by emulators and
their image formats, not one has provided any "facts" or evidence how this
will happen; after all, how is my use of Zany Golf in a non-.shk format for
nostalgic purposes going to hurt the current apple2 community? would it be
better if i were running ZANYGOLF.SHK as opposed to ZANYGOLF.XGS? the
apple2 developers are still going to support the apple, and the pc/mac
authors will work on the emulators; i can't see why this relationship can't
work out...
this all comes down to individual opinions about emulators; and opinions
are just like assholes, everyone's got one and thinks yours stinks... just
don't try passing off one point of view as the Commandments, for pete's
sake...
late,
matt
