First, especially if the Apple has been in storage for a long time, work
the affected keys. Press and release them several hundred times. Often
this is enough to get rid of the oxide that has built up over time.
Did the keyboard get damp or even wet? In that case, store in a warm,
dry place for a while. If you have an oven in the kitchen that can
reliably keep a temperature of not more than 60C / 140F, you can
"bake" the keyboard, minus the keycaps, for a while. But be careful,
overheating the switches will jam them beyond repair. Obviously, a
microwave oven is absolutely contraindicated.
If this isn't enough, you can try removing the keycaps and spraying a
**small** amount of contact cleaner into the switches along the key
shafts. Then again work the keys several hundred times.
