Not the *most* modern 5.25" disks. Back in the stone age, it was possible
to buy SS/SD disks. Those have been mostly (if not entirely) gone for
years now in favor of the DS/DD disks that most of us use in our 5.25" A][
drives.

In the PC world, the 5.25" disks that work are considered "360k" disks.

The disks that *DO NOT* work are the most modern DS/HD disks. These are
the 1.2Mb 5.25" disks which are now widely available.

To sum up:

SS/SD: What the drive was designed for.
SS/DD; DS/DD: What works just fine
DS/HD: What you shouldn't use.
