HELP!!!

Hi all.

I need a cable to connect my Apple //c to a CGA monitor.

The feed out of the Apple is a female 15 pin.

The feed into the CGA is a make 9 pin.

So I need a cable that is male 15 pin on one end, and female 9 pin on the other.

Can anyone tell me the configuration of the cable, in case I end up having
to make one myself?

There was one helpful soul, namely David Empson, who explained some of the
ins and outs of the process;

"To use a CGA monitor on an Apple II, you would need a digital RGB
 adaptor.

 The Apple /// has built-in support for a digital RGB monitor (you just
 need an adaptor cable to connect a CGA monitor).  The Apple IIgs
 supports an analog RGB monitor.

 The other Apple II models (][, ][+, //e, //c, //c+) do not have built-in
 RGB support.  The //c comes closest: it has a video adaptor port on the
 back of the computer that contains all the signals required to generate
 RGB, but it still needs an external adaptor.  The //e can do it with an
 add-on card (e.g. an auxiliary slot 64K RAM + RGB video card).  In both
 cases, you end up with a connector that is compatible with the Apple ///
 (DB-15 female) and need the same adaptor cable.

 Note that there are apparently also analog RGB adaptors for the //c,
 which would not be appropriate if you want to use a CGA monitor.

 I can't help any further than that, but it should give you some
 information to start asking the right questions!"

There was also a helpful soul who pointed me to a manufacturer and told me
that they sold something for this purpose, but I have had no luck getting
a response from them as yet.

"Sold by Alltech Electronics at http://www.allelec.com/ or at
 telephone (619)724-2404.  Name of product=Video 7 Color Enhancer/IIc CGA.
 They have it for $39.

 It plugs into the //c DB-style video port and outputs a cable to
 the CGA monitor."

If anyone out there has any info, or if you can get me the cable, I would
be very happy to cross your plams with silver, and you would have my
undying gratitude.
