Apple IIe -> Mac file xfer

I need to transfer some large ASCII files from an Apple IIe to a PowerMac
7200.  I assume that I can do some sort of serial hookup, but I'm not sure
exactly how to go about it.  Alternatively, is there a way to segment
files on the Apple II side?  The files are too large to fit on a single
3.5 inch floppy, and the backup program that I tried copied the raw data
directly to the disks, it didn't even create a file so I couldn't do
anything with it on the Mac side.
