IIc monitor ?'s / IIc software ?'s

I have an Apple IIc (my first computer in 1984) that I could still get
some
use out of.  The problem is, my Apple 9" green monitor has a problem and
is
sometimes unusable.  What type of inexpensive monitor can I look for
(other
than my TV) to possibly use with my IIc?  I have a 12" color monitor on my
Mac
system, but I've been told that this one won't work.

Also, I saw a previous post discussing the use of IIe software on a Mac. 
I
have alot of files, mostly database, that I created on my Apple IIc that I
would LOVE to use on my Mac.  Problem 1:  My IIc has a 5 1/4" drive. 
Haven't
found anyone who can transfer from that to a 3 1/2" disk yet.  Problem 2: 
I'm
not familiar with how a Mac would handle IIc files (or if it would).  One
post
said that some Mac software will be able to handle it. Which ones work the
best?
