   Charles Turley is an admitted software pirate, "ex-" drug addict,
lied about the initial "freeware" reclassification of Wordperfect,
continues to claim that his sector-edited 'VAMPS' disks create '4D'
sound from a GS. [Go to http://www.ozemail.com.au/~kashum/turkey/mt3k.html
for Ian Schmidt's rather excellent shredding of a Readme file on a VAMPS
disk.]

   Turley also just had his account at wco.com shut down after his
sysadmins determined that he had uploaded copies of Convert3200 and
LemminGS to a publically available ftp site. Turley claims that someone
broke into his home and used his computer, but after looking at all his
totally insane comments outside of this issue, his 'alibi' is rather
suspect.

   For continuing proof of his blatant and amoral sector editing, the
archive of 'NTGS 1.30' on apple2.archive.umich.edu,
/pub/apple2/gs/sound/program does not contain ProDOS, but 'FREEOS' (note
the same number of letters in the name, which makes it real easy to
sector edit that), which is except for the name, a byte-for-byte copy of
ProDOS 8.

   My recommendation: shun Turley as a proven liar. The pirating
LemminGS issue broke within the past month, so any claims that he's
'reformed' from his earlier, admitted faults, is greatly exaggerated.
