Just an observation.....

I read this group on a regular basis because I maintain a collection of
Apple //, ///, and Macintosh computers. I have a particular affection for
Apple //'s because my very first home computer was an Apple //c in 1984
(which I still have and still runs great).

That having been said, I can't help but notice that this group has certain
individuals who are hostile to those of us who have chosen to continue to
support Apple Computer up to the present time. I think this is most
unfortunate. Personally, I feel that Apple Computer means more than just a
certain line of computers they made--it encompasses everything they
made/make. I think it is unfortunate that the // line got discontinued,
and I question the reasoning behind that when that decision was made, but
that decision has been made and we have to go on from there. Sometimes
there is no accounting or logical reasoning for corporate decisions....

Whether you are going to just use the Apple // line and absolutely no other
computers is your right. It's also *my* right to use Apple //'s as well as
Macintoshes, Newtons, Apple /// computers, or anything else. I can't help
but get the distinct impression that a lot of bitterness has set in this
group--most of it directed toward Mac users because we are still loyal to
Apple Computer and you guys are not (for the most part). That's really too
bad (I've also seen many posts here that oddly enough support the PC
platform).

I think it would be wise to remember the saying about attracting more bees
with honey....with some posts I've seen here, you would do nothing but
drive certain Apple // afficianados away with your "all or nothing"
remarks.

Just my observation....
