NuLib?

I am having trouble compiling NuLib on my Unix account. I know absolutely,
or close to absolutely, nothing about Unix. I do know that I want to have
a runnable version of Nulib on my account, however.

Before I am attacked by people claiming I should pull myself up by my
bootstraps, I'd just like to say that I'm not asking for someone to do all
of my work, it's just an acknowledgment of the fact that I don't have the
time right now to learn everything about using Unix by myself. If someone
could just tell me some things to look at, then I'd really appreciate it.

Details:
I don't know what particular platform of computer the Unix system is
running off of (whether this matters or not), although I do know we are
running Berkeley Unix. I tried to compile the program using "make", but I
got an error:

cfe: Error: ./nudefs.h, line 93: Syntax Error
 %%%% unknown architecture %%%%
 ^
*** Error code 1

I assume I just don't have the "#ifdef" set right (I do know a _little_ of
C). Anyway, any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Toby

p.s. I don't have the time, really, to read newsgroups, so email replies
would be greatly appreciated.
