//c to Mac disk-image transfers
Hello. I just discovered that I can keep and emulate on my PowerMac all my
old favorite apple// games and silly little programs. This is wonderful
news. I've already been in the process of sending Appleworks files to my
Mac and that was a bit of a challenge. Now I'm on the hunt to learn all I
can about //e-c emulation, what I need to create disk images, and what sort
of serial port cable I need to use to transfer disk images of apple //
stuff. There was supposed to be an apple // FAQ at www.asimov.net, but it
seems to be invalid now.
Anyone here who has been through this already and knows the ropes--my quest
is for these things specifically:
1) FAQs on the transfer process (I already have ii-to-mac and //e 3.0.1 and
chipmunk-basic 3.5.0 ready to go)
2) Best way to make/transfer disk images from a //c to ADB modem port on a
PowerMac? I have a PowerComputing 166. I have been using modem-to-modem
transfers for Appleworks files so far successfully.
3) Pinout diagram for serial/null-modem cable? I have two conflicting
diagrams presently, and the first one I had made doesn't work :(
4) Anything else I need to know?
Thanks, and thanks to David Arnett for his great help so far too.
