Wrong, but close to the truth. BeagleWrite GS came directly from
MultiScribe GS. In fact, for a while, we at Beagle Bros were sending
MultiScribe GS disks and manuals out to customers who needed
replacement media. We were definately using Multiscribe-based
technical notes to handle tech support calls.

Still, maintaining it and chasing down bugs was very problematic,
mostly because the source was very poorly documented, and apparently
patched too. I suspect Mark Munz will be able to tell many, many
<ahem> amusing stories regarding this situation.

Obviously, BeagleWrite for the //e and c came from MultiScribe, though
the 8 bit version was a lot more stable to begin with. I thought it
was a lot more elegant considering that hardware that it had to work
with.
