I should have pointed out that many of the mice at school are several
years old. Meanwhile, the mice on the Mac Pluses in the music lab are
the mice included with the machine itself, and there've been no
problems with those...

And you're perfectly welcome to hate it as much as you want. Just
like I can hate math courses, certain types of music, and the new
sensationalistic Star Trek episodes.
I like Microsoft's hardware accessories. Their software, on the other
hand...
