*** I think, (if the list of downloaders does exist), it should be made
public and made available ASAP! I also think Henrik's analogy could just
as well be applied to the person that uploaded the software, from my
x-wco.com acct. Non-the-less, both the uploader and downloaders should be
focused on EQUALLY. The matters should be presented in a legal action
with all of the evidence also, ASAP, for the public to review and draw
their own conclusions from. This current online discussion of who did it,
why and how, don't cut it. It proves nothing and it only makes the matters
more agrivating and confusing in the public view with it all.

No, all of the evidence needs to be presented before a court with legal
action to prove conclusively who did what, when, how, where and for why!

To me, this is another dejavu nightmare I have to deal with. It's just
like the 1993 crapola I had to deal with over the Spectrum and OmniPaint
upload alligations against me, being blamed as the person that did that.
Well, I didn't do it. I'm sure most of the old timers in the Apple II
community know that I didn't do those up loads any more than I did the
TommyFax fake program thing and hey, this crap of the piracy and my being
the person that did the uploads, will be resolved this time with
conclusive evidence to prove I did not do it myself, even if it was done
from my x-wco.com ISP acct.

I insist that legal action be taken and I'm ready to defend myself on
these matters properly. I'm tired of being burnt, fried, flamed and such
by a couple of dozen ignorant , know-it-all, vigilante type, elite
netizens of the Apple II community that seem to think they have ultimate
powers to snuff-out that which they consider a threat to their own trips
and individual livelyhoods. And, you all know who you are and to whom I'm
refering. I don't need to include a list of names for this newsgroup to
review.

Well, I've got news for everybody, I'm no threat to your livelyhood in any
manner. My efforts and my projects for the good of the Apple II community
and all users will continue and will not cause any harm to anybody within
the Apple II community. Anybody that considers my efforts to be of any
harmful nature, (IMHO) needs mental help and counciling ASAP. What harm
is the AOL A2 Archive Transfer Project causing? What harm was the
reclassification of Medley GS to freeware? What harm is the current and
hopeful validation of the reclassification of Word Perfect for the Apple
II and IIGS? None that I can see and that's all I'm interest in doing at
this point, besides making the web sites available online again, ASAP.

Before anybody decides to fry Dr. Tom, I would like to remind him that he
has *defended* a commercial programmer when somebody wrote a bad GenieLamp
review of Operation Lambda. I have already noticed that Dr. Tom can be a
formidable enemy to all the Flame Masters and Inquisitor-types around
there,
but I still believe that his good side outweighs the other.

Charles T. Turley replies ***:
***Yes, I certainly can be a formidable enemy to all the Flame Masters and
Inquisitor-types around. Again (IMHO) their Flame and Inquisitor efforts
are just plain stupid, these Flame Masters and Inquisitor-types are
ignorant and they are using historical methods that never have worked
thru-out the past centuries with anything else. And, they won't work now
in this newsgroup and Apple II community.

I'm not going to challenge and taunt these types of people, if I can
possibly keep from it. It just does no good what-so-ever to attempt it.
But, I am going to defend what they say and attempt to do against me.

As our President - Bill Clinton recently pointed out - vindictive actions
seem to be the most destructive element within our country and our society
now. Vindictive actions can only breed more of the same. It does no good
and can't create anything helpful, constructive or of any beneficial
merit. So STOP!

I'm not being vindictive - I'm simply defending myself in public against
these ludicrus accusations and such. Simply put, I'm not out to hurt
myself with such self-destructive actions. No more so now than in 1993.

Daver, the Stroker Ace collective gang, gangsta.com, Acenet,
warez.winternet.com - ftp, all the little current Apple II warez freaks,
unix demon hackers and all that stuff, it's these types that harm the
Apple II community and just to prove it - I invite everybody to go check
out the ftp site of 'lsd.net' to really see what a piriate-warez site gone
100% MAD is like. I had nothing to do with this place. But, everything's
there for the downloading. Perhaps Mr. Joe 'Vigilante' Kohn should
institute a raid on this little pirate-warez ftp palace also.

Like I said, this is not Spain in the 10th century. This is a newsgroup
about the orphanted and no-longer commercially available Apple II computer
series, in the year 1997.
Flame Masters, witch hunts and Grand Inquisitors - serve no useful purpose
here!
------------------------------

Why don't you just shake hands and forget the whole thing?

Charles T. Turley replies***:
--------------------------------
***I could do that. I'd love to do that. I'd really like to just shake
hands and forget the whole thing Marvin. Nice theory. But, what good
would it do? What positive results would it cause? Hey, I could just as
easily fade off and forget the Apple II newsgroups and the entire net
efforts.
But, I'm not about to do that.

I support anything that's good for the Apple II users, be it commercial,
free, shareware or whatever type of ware it is! I intend to continue with
my GOOD efforts until I have nothing more to offer that's GOOD. Then I'll
leave and not before!

I trust that clarifies everything concerning CHARLEZ TURLEY and his future
plans, concerns and interest with respect to the Apple II community in
general.

Cheers,
Tom
