Come on, folks. This is not a Mac newsgroup. How about dropping this 
thread? Anyway, what do you expect. Does the fact that Ford no longer 
supports the Model-T mean that one should never buy another car?

The fact is that no other computer company has been as supportive of 
users as Apple has been (and still is). Apple II systems are still 
available for download, and nearly all user groups are authorized to 
distribute Apple II system software to members at no cost. Anyone who 
phones Apple about an Apple II problem will be given the phone number of 
the nearest Apple User Group, where expert help can be found.
