If a program is very nice, and it sees that that button is pressed, it
will limit itself to 40 columns, perfect for use on a TV, VCR, or
crappy monitor.  The only programs that I've seen ever pay attention
to this switch are Copy ][+ and System Utilities for the //c.

I don't know what you mean by "3x3 block of black squares", but that
button DOES switch the keys around (mentally) to the Dvorak layout.
Maybe the //c needs to be restarted for it to take effect.  I'm not
sure.
