GS.Trouble

I am sorely in need advice. A few months ago My IIGS ,details as below
started to behave in a peculiar manner, inasmuch as it will not take on board the GSOS system from *ANY* source, i.e., Hard Drive or Slot
5,Drive 1 or 2, neither will it load any pr
ogramme that has
the IIGS as a requirement. In a nutshell it appears to be
acting like a glorified IIe. The Thermometer and Welcome
message only appear on the screen then, the Machine freezes,
starts clicking and the screen shows ten columns of approx.
5
x 4 mm with same size spacing, all on a black background
and require the four finger startup or shut down then
restart.
A self test of the M/C signals SYSTEM GOOD
My hard drive boots from Slot 7 and is in five
partitions, the IIGS System folder
 in P1 as is Appleworks
5.0. which I'm using to type this message, Appleworks having
been accessed via Prosel. Appleworks will read any AW or
TEXT file on any partition 1 to 5 incl.
I should point out that I have been for some time
trying to get the
accelerator card to work, and believed I
had traced the fault to over heating. I plugged in a cooling
fan with the polarity reversed, changed it over, M/C still
worked to allow me to go on to the Bulletin Board, into
comp.sys.apple2, and on the second pag
e of headings it ran
amok and the foregoing has been with me since.

Subsequent to this I have used CopyII plus to Verify
the System Files in P1 and have been shown an I/O Error
in Finder Block $0E26 repeating this in the ORIGINAL system
disk I get I/O
Error Block $0265, this also gets
listed as Erroe $4B.
I have been having trouble with my ZIPGS accelerator. When
booted up all went well for about fifteen minutes then the
machine hangs and has to be switched off completely and the
card removed, a four
 finger boot will not work.
The details of my setup are , IIgs Woz Ltd edition , ROM 1,
80 meg Connor Hard Drive. One 5.25, two 3.5 disk drives,
ImageWriter II printer, SCITEC Datalink V32 modem. Cards
fitted are, AppleII SCSI card 607-0291 A 1986, C.V.T
echnologies GS memory card with 4 megs on board Quickie
controller,-- HyperStudio Sound Card --, And
Of Course, when fitted the.The Zip GS X Ver 1.02 card, is in
slot 2.
Thanking you in advance.
