Commslot Fax Modem

Last year I bought and set up a Performa 6200 for my father, who at the
tender age of 76 is launching into computing.

I want to get him set up for the internet, web browsing and e-mail. I
chose the Performa package because it included an internal modem as part
of the deal.

This Christmas I was hping to get him on line, so I opened a Demon U.K account.

I opened the Performa to find out what sort of modem we have. On the card
it said "Commslot fax modem". I'm beginning to think it was the only one
ever made.
 
How do you find the modem Init string for a modem which no dealer seems to
know much (anything) about? And doing a search on this string doesn't
produce much either. Maybe I have got the name wrong.

What kind of modem is it? Does anyone have the Init string?
