Help! GS booting off a Mac File Server

People,

I am tryingt o get my GS to boot off of the hard drive on my Macintosh. 
I have the Appleshare 3.0.1 installed.  The GS recognizes the Mac and
mounts the drive and the CD player.  However, it doesn't boot off of
it.  Someone helped me do this before, but I have since lost the
messages I had.  Can anyone help?
