I would suspect that your terminal emulation setting in ProTerm is
not what the unix host thinks it is. A good common denominator between
the two (and one that has worked for thousands) is vt100. Make sure
that ProTerm is set to use that, then check the setting from your unix
host. From a csh/tcsh type unix shell (bug your sysadmin if you don't
know what you're running), you can type the following:
set term=vt100
resize
[The second may not work on all unix boxes or it may not be in your
path; again, talk to either your sysadmins or a friend with a clue]
Other shells have slightly different syntax.
