On one hand, I don't want to ruin the fun for you, but it sounds like
you've been struggling with Level 11 for a week and might really be
stumped on that level. I don't want to give you a walk-through for
Level 11, so let me share just a general strategy tip that has
application on many levels, including Level 11...
LemminGS can be multi-faceted creatures. By that I mean...as you go
along, you can change the skills of any Lemming. So, maybe an athlete
is needed to climb and parachute off tall objects, but once those
skills are no longer needed, that athlete can be turned into something
more useful...such as a blocker.
As far as thanking me for LemminGS...thank Brutal Deluxe! They spent 8
long months programming it, testing it, and debugging it. My only role
was to beta-test the game, and even then, I was only one of about a
dozen testers.
Those who've played the LemminGS demo or the complete game will
understand my sentiment when I say: "The Apple IIGS world is very
fortunate indeed that Brutal Deluxe continues to program Apple IIGS
software!"
As a matter of fact, in the last e-mail I got from Olivier Zardini, he
said something about how he's already starting to think about and plan
for Brutal Deluxe's next IIGS program! And, I'm sure that whatever they
come up with will be a worthy successor to The Tinies, Cogito, Opale
Demo, Blockade, Tinies Construction Kit, Convert 3200 and LemminGS.
That said, I would like to thank all of you who have supported Brutal Deluxe
and Shareware Solutions II...by purchasing Convert 3200. I'd like to
thank the LemminGS beta test team. And, I'd like to thank Geoff Weiss for
writing up a great review of LemminGS for the latest issue of II Alive.
