If the printer is a postcript level-2 printer, install the 6.0.1
system software with atalk options, set up the slots for your
machine correctly, then manually replace the laserwriter driver
with the older one from system 6.0!
 
It seems that the 6.0.1 driver has trouble with level 2 printers.
Ryan Suenaga gave me this tip when I couldn't get an Apple LW 4/600PS
to work. Us
 
of course if it isn't level 2, ignore me.
