WTB: Echo-back software against junk e-mail advertisers

Anyone else out there getting FED UP with the increasing annoyance of 
JUNK E-MAIL ADVERTIZERS who flood the groups with unrequested junk mailings?

At least with traditional paper advertising, the cost of the paper is a 
deterrent.   These jerks send unlimited copies of their ads to groups 
that are unrelated to their wares.

I have heard that software is available to echo back to the junk-emailers 
thousands of repeated copies of their unrequested email ads.  The goal is 
to fill up their email boxes, thus discouraging further junk-mailings.

Is this true?  Is there an Apple II version of that software?  Any 
creative programmers getting the hint?  ;-)   Any disadvantages?
