Zipdrive & HS Apple SCSI

I have exchanged my Zipdrive for another one and turned the DMA off on my
card.  I'm pleased that the disk errors have ceased to exist.  However, I
still have the same problem with disk space.

The first partition has 37% free space and the rest full.  The last two
partitions have 0% free space and are entirely full.  I tried reformatting
them but received the same result.  Can someone please tell me why this is
happening?

Btw, I have a good Iomega Zipdrive and disk this time, as tested on a 
powerbook at work.
