Hmmmm.... I checked this out when we started installing WIN 95 on
every Pee Cee on campus. At least for TEXT files, my IIgs with HD
drive and Apple 3.5 Disk Controller card can read them.

Maybe it's because I use Hermes which can open otherwise unreadable
files, edit as needed (e.g., remove control characters etc.) then
save the resulting text as ProDOS text files.
