Text: AppleWorks GS 1.1 with Pointless (very sharp print out on ink-jet
printers). AWGS may sometimes be a bit clunky, but it is only
$19 in US currency from Alltech and the output is great.
Spread: QC Calc. Maybe VIP Professional or SuperCalc 3a if you can find
a copy used. QC Calc is graphical while VIP Professional is an
old Lotus 1-2-3 clone. SuperCalc is the Apple version of the old
PC spreadsheet. AWGS also has a spreadsheet, but it is not as
powerful as the others.
Communications: Spectrum, ANSIterm, or ProTERM.
Games: Wolf 3D, Lemmings GS, a thousand variations of Tetris, and
hundreds of other titles with cool sound effects and music.
Drawing: AWGS is pretty good. BeagleDraw is more powerful.
