There are several ways you can trasfer text files from the Apple IIgs to an
IBM compatible "machine."
1. Connect the two computers via serial/modem ports with a nul modem and
(a) use any communications program between the two,
(b) or get the program CrossWorks to make the job easier.
2. Have modems on both computers and dial each (two phome lines/two modems)
and transfer with most telecommunications programs.
3. If files are on a ProDOS 3.5" disk, put the disk in a modern Mac then
save to an MS-DOS formatted disk. If the file isn't plain ASCII, you can
use MacLink Plus or many modern programs to import, then export to a format
you want.
There are other methods, too.
