Yes, as long as the new power supply has suitable ratings, I see no
problems.  As an example, I was given an old Japanese Apple clone.  It
came complete with a 110V power supply, which was useless here (our
mains is 240V).  All I had spare supply from an old XT clone.  A bit of
"surgery", to fit the correct connector to the supply, and the old clone
now runs like a clock. :-)
