ProDOS-formatted ZIP disks - read on Mac?

A friend of mine has a ZIP Drive working with his Apple II. He
reformats the 100 Meg ZIP disks with multiple ProDOS partitions
so that he can use them with Appleworks

I would like to be able to get info from him via his Pro-DOS ZIP
disks. I have a Mac that came with the ability to read ProDOS-
formatted floppy disks, but it apparently cannot read ProDOS-
formatted ZIP disks.

Does anyone know if there is a program or patch available for the
Macintosh that will allow it to read ProDOS-formatted disks in a
ZIP drive?

Even though this is a Mac question, I figured the folks in this
newsgroup would be more likely to know things about ProDOS.

Thanks for any suggestions or pointers elsewhwere.
