Do you mean that you are unable to scroll within pine or that you are
unable to use Proterm's scrollback buffer? If the former, make sure that
your terminal emulation is set correctly. At the UNIX prompt

%echo $TERM

should tell you what emulation the UNIX system is using. Make sure that
Proterm's matches it.
