This card was commissioned by Digital Research and made by ALS.  
The reason the card was ordered was so that the Apple // could run
CP/M Plus, also known as CP/M 3.0.  All(?) other CP/M cards are
made to run CP/M 2.2, the last version that was widely popular.  The
ALS card has it own software for 3.0, as you might expect.
