Complete agreement. Spent enough time playing with the various Windoze
systems to see that a lot of people go for 75% eye-candy, 25% function-
ality. Can be said for us GS users too -- most of the stuff I've seen
or picked up are just memory-takers for doing some function a stand-
alone program could do (I use Binscii 1.0.3 and not GSCII, for inst) or
just beautification stuff (nothing against Graffiti and the like, of
course, but after having this active for a couple weeks I deactivate
them until company shows up). Fluff takes CPU time; much as I love a
menu-bar clock, since it's an extra program I turn it off before running
a JPG viewer for instance. Half the time my Sound thing is inactive.
