You might want to go to this site: http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/ and
download the latest copy of ADTPro. With it you can bootstrap your
Apple with PRODOS via the cassette in port from your PC. If your Apple
has a Super Serial Card in it you can bootstrap it using ADTPro and
the appropriate cables hooked between the PC and the Apple.

As to your question about getting to the BASIC prompt with the disk
drives hooked up. . . . . .If I remember right after you start the
computer press the control and reset buttons and that should stop the
drives and give you the BASIC prompt. Beyond that I'm not enough of a
BASIC programmer to help but maybe someone else will chime in.
