I don't know how reliable it is, but I recall an official of Apple Canada gave a presentation to the LOGIC User Group in Toronto in 1987 and, when asked about the number of Woz Apple IIgs released, he said "50,000." The next question, now, is how many IIgs' were made? I suspect those with Woz "Limited Editions" (including me) are part of a large minority.
