Are you sure it is the cable that is bad? The IIgs keyboard has a
common problem that messes up the ADB connection(s). The cable
connector sockets on the keyboard are held in place by solder joints and
nothing more. Stress on the connectors often causes the solder joints
to fail and to become internmittent. When they have failed it is
sometimes difficult or impossible to see the problem at a bad
connection. When failed the solder joints have a slightly hazy dull
appearance. The fix is relatively easy. The joints need only be
re-melted and that almost always cures the problem (for a while).
Before buying a new cable, try another keyboard or try switching the
side of the keyboard that the cable is plugged into.
