This is done with Appletalk on a PC running NT 4.x or a Mac. You
will need a way for both machines to talk Appletalk. On the GS or Mac,
that's easy. On a PC, as we've noted several times before, Appletalk
cards are rare, but they do exist.
To my knowledge, there is no appletalk over plain serial lines other
than Apple's 'Appletalk Remote Access' (ARA), but that software was
only for Macs.
