An icon conflict.  Go into you *:icons folder and create a folder,
name it "Holding" or something, and move all your icons into it EXCEPT
FType.Apple, that's needed by Finder.

Then you can either go through your icons with an editor, such as IconEd
or DicEd or Ice, and look at each icons attributes, you're looking
for a "match anything" icon, one with a name to match of "*" and a
filetype to match of, uhm, zero I think, or add the icons back one
at a time until the problem reappears.  That second choice might not
be an easy one though.  You can add the "bad" icon back and not notice
the problem immediately and so miss it.
