Cross-development works best if you are using tools native to the
environment - ie. If you have a Macintosh, you can use the 65186 assembler
to compile Apple II source into object and then run them on your Apple II
emulator on the Mac. That would be faster. But using the host machine to
emulate development tools won't work well.
