GS Sound Problem

I have a problem on my Rom 1 machine with the sound. Every now and then
the screen will flicker "Unclaimed Sound Interupt." The system check
usually pops up either a System Bad Code 0C0000001 or 0C0000002.
It all started when my battery died and I ran the GS without one for a
couple of weeks before getting a replacement.
Any ideas as to what this is?
