This is an obviously common problem.
I would like to aquire a Terminal program plus extraction software.
I do not have any software to download such a product, nor to I have
the utilities to extract/ convert 7 bit to 8 bit.
Background Info:
(I found this information in a FAQ located at:)
URL: gopher://gopher.archive.umich.edu:7055/00/apple2/faq/faq.html
>Chuck Orem (PO Box 1014, Benton City, WA, 99320-1014 USA) distributes a
>5.25" disk with a terminal program (Comm.System 2.5), Shrinkit 3.4, BinSCII
>1.0.3, UU 1.1, Sneeze 2.2 and UnShrink 2.1 in ready to run format. Also
>included are all the docs for the above programs, plus Zlink (in archived
>format). The disk is distributed for $2, to cover postage and materials.

I sent mail to a the mentioned e-mail addresses, and got a response from
the mail servers informing me that these users no longer existed.
I tried connecting up with rtfm.mit.edu for a more recent FAQ for this
newsgroup, but another error obstructs my passage (host unreachable).
SO, I'll post this message here, to see if anyone has an answer before
I am able to get the most recent FAQ.
Are there any people that still provide Term software on 5 1/4" floppy
with Either ProDOS or DOS 3.3 (For the IIe / IIc)? (Preferably ProDOS)
What is their e-mail addy?
Also, any mail order places around that still make IIc (PR#2) to RS232
serial
cables? (I could prob make my own if someone provided a pinout for the
IIc).
Post your answer here, or e-mail (either way I will get it).
Thanks ahead of time,
Mike dugan
