1) Yes, this is the Super Serial Card.
2) It is both a modem and a serial printer card.  It supports any serial device.
 In slot one, it is usually used as a printer card.  It is used to connect a modem
 when it is usually in slot 2.
3)The "switch" is actually a jumper box.  In modem mode the wiring is straight
through, in terminal mode the wiring is reversed (as in a null modem cable).
4)Of course, only a serial printer will work (most PC printers are parallel only).
Apple made a number of good printers, and I believe some HP printers can be
wired as serial printers.
