: Yes, try locating a good apple RGB monitor. You will never get 80 column text

Bad idea. To use an RGB monitor on a ][e you need a video card. They are
available, but I recall that the AppleColor 100 (the motorized-tilt RGB
monitor) did not have the greatest color. Hmmm...Does the SecondSight run
on a ][e? With that, you could use a VGA monitor, but I don't know if it
will work on a ][e.

: Stay away from color-composite monitors. They blur the text horribly...

With one exception. Apple sold a very VERY nice composite monitor for the
][e with a color-killer circuit. I've used quite a number of those, and
they are quite readable for white text. And if you are looking at graphic
text (meaning that the Apple is sending color burst meaning that the
monitor won't kill color) you can press a button on the monitor to force
it into monochrome mode. If you can find one of these monitors, I
recommend it highly.

If you have the desk space, a compromise might be to get a decent
composite color monitor (or TV set with Video input) and a Y-cable to
drive both the green screen and the color monitor. But I think your best
solution would be that nice Apple monitor.
